Savings

Nathan has been receiving pocket money since January, and banking it at Defcredit. He also received some money from Grandma and Grandpa for his birthday. He has been waiting for school holidays so he could make a big withdrawal from the bank and go to the toy shop. After looking around for a short time, Nathan decided to buy a Star Wars lego set. I encouraged him to look around at non-lego toys and he made a token effort. The decision was a done deal - a new lego set.


I asked Blake if he would like a little toy or some smarties, and he chose the smarties.

Easter

We had an Easter Egg hunt yesterday morning. I think it was all over by 7:30am!

Green Card Award

Blake and I went to Nathan's school assembly today to see Nathan be presented with a Green Card Award. To achieve this award Nathan had to receive 10 stickers on his Green Card. To achieve a sticker you have to do something 'really good' like excellent hand writing.

Cake at School

Blake and I went to school today to take Nathan's second birthday cake. We had a fun morning - first we saw Nathan and the other children do some writing in their books about what they did on the weekend. Then we watched the children do an activity 'tricky words step-back'. Then we listened to Nathan and some other children have their news time. Finally it was time for cake! Blake was feeling very important being part of the class, particularly when he got to sit next to Nathan and use the coloured pencils.


We bought Nathan a DS for his birthday and he is playing it now after school. Personal space is a thing of the past! P.S. Don't ask why he is wearing a jacket!!!

We had a really great morning - all the kids seemed to have lots of fun and Rohan and I enjoyed it too. Afternoon naps for all! (except Nathan!).

Bike Ride

We went for a bike ride (Nathan and Blake on bikes) down to the big playground this morning. Nathan practiced riding his bike without the training wheels. Blake enjoyed a big long ride on his bike too.

Disco

We went to a disco at the Tindal gym last night and Nathan got his face painted so he was a scary tiger! Click on the video to see how scary he was.

Parcel from Mummo

A parcel from Mummo arrived for Rohan's birthday on Friday and in it were some presents for the boys too - lots of textas, pencils and activity books. Must have kept the boys busy for almost 45 minutes. Definitely a record. Thanks Mummo!

Rohan's Birthday

The boys and I made a cake for Rohan's birthday today. Blake chose the icing colour (green, of course) and then they both had fun decorating the cake with smarties.

Nathan's First Day at School

Nathan started primary school today. He was super excited with his new uniform, lunchbox, bag and shoes. I made sure I got a kiss because he was interested to get on with the day. A great start! Blake and I then went off to enjoy a coffee at the Coffee Club.
