Bouncinette

Haven't had time to blog recently - wonder why! Have also been putting photos on Facebook instead, it's quicker and I am time-poor at the moment.
This photo was taken today of Tyler having a nap in his new bouncy. He hasn't been sleeping very well today and since Rohan arrived home with this from the shops he has been out like a light. Think mum said that the only place I used to sleep was my bouncy.

Life in the Gaskill Home

These photos pretty much sum up our life at the moment - sleep, cuddles and basic hygiene!

New little brother

Nathan and Blake LOVE being big brothers. I don't think Tyler has such a thing as personal space though!

Mothers' Day

It is so nice to have mum here for Mothers' Day - my first one with three sons. Rohan and the boys made us some cards and I also got a lovely big box of chocolates. Rohan then made us a delicious roast for lunch with a chocolate and cream log for dessert. Yum!

Tyler Ashton Gaskill

On Wednesday 28 April at 3.30 pm, Karen and Rohan welcomed their beautiful baby boy Tyler Ashton into the world. Tyler was born via a planned caesarean section 11 days overdue and weighed 4.360 kg.

Everyone is doing well, and Nathan and Blake are excited that their baby brother has finally arrived.

ANZAC Day

We went to the Dawn Service at Tindal. Then everyone but me went into town and Nathan marched with his school. (Nathan is on the left of the photo holding a white water bottle). Rohan didn't march because we are waiting, waiting for the baby to arrive.

Savings

Nathan has been receiving pocket money since January, and banking it at Defcredit. He also received some money from Grandma and Grandpa for his birthday. He has been waiting for school holidays so he could make a big withdrawal from the bank and go to the toy shop. After looking around for a short time, Nathan decided to buy a Star Wars lego set. I encouraged him to look around at non-lego toys and he made a token effort. The decision was a done deal - a new lego set.


I asked Blake if he would like a little toy or some smarties, and he chose the smarties.

Easter

We had an Easter Egg hunt yesterday morning. I think it was all over by 7:30am!

Green Card Award

Blake and I went to Nathan's school assembly today to see Nathan be presented with a Green Card Award. To achieve this award Nathan had to receive 10 stickers on his Green Card. To achieve a sticker you have to do something 'really good' like excellent hand writing.

Cake at School

Blake and I went to school today to take Nathan's second birthday cake. We had a fun morning - first we saw Nathan and the other children do some writing in their books about what they did on the weekend. Then we watched the children do an activity 'tricky words step-back'. Then we listened to Nathan and some other children have their news time. Finally it was time for cake! Blake was feeling very important being part of the class, particularly when he got to sit next to Nathan and use the coloured pencils.


We bought Nathan a DS for his birthday and he is playing it now after school. Personal space is a thing of the past! P.S. Don't ask why he is wearing a jacket!!!
